I go by many names. One of them is Allison June Wade. I’m a stranger from a strange land.
I’m a native Italian; English is my self-taught second language. I also understand enough of French and a bit of Spanish. I can catch a few words of Japanese once in a while.
I like speculative fiction, horror in particular, books, movies and video games. I love ancient history and mythology but also technology and science.
Despite my horror obsession, I have some kind of twisted sense of humor; I laugh a lot and I enjoy all sorts of funny things.
I like to keep an open mind even when I’m strong on my opinions. I don’t like politics and I don’t like people who turn everything into a political debate. Live and let live.
I’m a walking contradiction: I follow military pages and Buddhist pages, scientific pages and astrology pages, and that’s how I like the world to be. A balance of opposite things.
Usually I’m friendly, but if you push me or strike my nerves, I’ll go away with no regret.
I’m always changing. Doing, undoing, redoing. One day I disappear, the other day I’m back with a new name and a new plan. My only constant is change.
I’ve always made up stories and I started writing when I was a teenager. One of the reasons why I write is to keep track of things I don’t want to forget.
I tried traditional publishing back in Italy but it didn’t work out for me, so I followed the route of independent publishing because I love the freedom it gives me, and I like to be in control of everything. But I’m still open to any option.
I worked as a freelance editor and book designer, and I’m always trying to improve my skills.
Wade Books is the name I use for publishing my stories.
